My Review of How To Make Love Like a Pornstar
While I'm assuming most would write this off as garbage, and ask the question, "Why would I want to read about a slut like Jenna Jameson?", I read about this on Wikipedia, and noticed it was a bestseller several times, so I had the library order a copy(felt like a total perv, and the lady who ordered it for me was old and giving me wierd looks).

I am just about done, and cheated and read the last few chapters, so I've got the entire gist of the story. It's an autobiography of her life that kind of goes back and forth in time from when her dad met her mom, through her gradual stages to hardcore drugs and recovery, to becoming the famous pornstar she is today that's almost a household name.

I've read plenty of stories of drug addicts who hit rock bottom and then recovered(or killed themselves), so that part of the book didn't interest me that much. Her childhood was hilarious to read about though, she and her brother were total little demons that terrorized everyone around. There is also a touching letter in the book that her dad sent her explaining how he met her mother, and how he tried to save her from the skin cancer that ultimately killed her when Jenna was 2.

Another thing I found interesting was the book delves pretty deep into the adult industry and describes it's inner workings, and the how and why Jenna is considered the queen of porn. It's all obviously amoral and devoid of decency no matter how she tries to cover it up and call it her "job", but I found it fascinating all the same.

Supposedly she is now monogamous and has been retired from doing porn herself since the beginning of last year, but still runs her website that makes a profit of 30 million a year.

The thing I wonder about is if she came full circle and quit porn altogether and changed her ways, could she still be forgiven for her ways and her past?

******Also, be warned, many nude photos are also mixed in with the autobiography, so bad idea to keep around children*******

7/7/2008 10:50:20 AM   From:  Feckless Wench   Why would she need forgiving for anything she had done? More to the point, who would need to forgive her? I don't know the story, but what did she do that was so bad?
7/7/2008 10:53:50 AM   From:  LiquidSnake   I don't know, I guess from a spiritual standpoint is all. She did alienate a lot of people who were trying to help her and guide her away from the lifestyle she chose, though. I guess it's all one's opinion whether that lifestyle is okay or not.
7/7/2008 11:32:27 AM   From:  eddo   from a spiritual standpoint she only needs forgiveness from one, and it's the same one that the rest of us need forgiveness from.
7/7/2008 3:44:18 PM   From:  Ali   "Make Love"...lol. I'm sure that's what "it's" called in the Porn Industry.
