| 4/28/2008 10:30:13 AM From: eddo Wells Fargo bank: I made a deposit of $400 in cash to my checking account so I could go on a business trip and have my Visa/debit card to cover expenses so I didn't have to carry cash. It took 36 hours for that $400 in cash to be posted to my account, because I made the deposit, of cash, after 4pm, and I was told when I called the next day that "it had to clear." Cash. Had to clear. As soon as I got back I emptied all of my money out of Wells Fargo. | |

| 4/28/2008 10:42:57 AM From: mercury it has to clear for it show on my account, but they know better than to reject a transaction that's been made against it. they've dealt with my wrath in the past ;o) | |

 |
| 4/28/2008 10:52:36 AM From: mercury I don't know if this is Michigan law or what but: cash is ALWAYS next day availability (I don't know why... cash is cash and should be processed immediately, imo). checks take anywhere from 1-7 days to clear depending on the location of the bank it's drawn on (1 day if drawn on your bank/3 days local/ up to 7 for out of state), but the first $100 of any deposit is immediately available, no matter what form the deposit was made in. I often have to remind them of this. | |

| 4/30/2008 3:30:39 AM From: mercury My banks website has been down for 2 days... came back up today and guess what happened while I couldn't access my account to make a transfer? I ran out of money while I couldn't do anything about it (except drive 30 miles, which is WHY I have the freaking on line access) and they bounced 3 fracking things on me! $102 in fees to cover about $32 in transactions. Highway robbery! They'll be hearing from me on this one, too. | |

| 4/30/2008 9:51:53 AM From: eddo ^^My new bank (actually a credit union) will transfer it automatically- up to 8 overdraft coverages. They charged my account once for someone else's $800 check and I was overdrafting like crazy. They got it all cleared up and credited me back all the fees they charged me for their screw up. | |
