McDonalds 99cent Sweet Tea
Holy Monkey... I am HOOKED!!! A few months ago I stopped drinking soda *again*, and thus far I've been doing splendidly well! On average I have a singular serving of soda about once ever 2-3 weeks! Cool Huh???

I haven't noticed much of a change except that I don't really enjoy soda anymore, it is much too fizzy.

Anyhow, MickeyD's has this fantabulous sweet tea! It is only 99 cents for a large, and it cools you off real quick, quenches the thrist, and satisfies the palate.

I am totally addicted. It is rare that I do not have a big cup of sweet tea in the cup holder of my car every afternoon, and usually am working on my third by late night.

Anyone else tried this??? Is it still too cold where you are to have iced tea? I tell you it is addictive.

4/12/2008 6:45:46 PM   From:  mercury   sounds gross but tastes great. kinda like guacamole :o)
4/12/2008 7:02:51 PM   From:  beags   I don't like sweet tea- too sugary for me. I like plain iced tea, though- yum!
4/12/2008 7:09:05 PM   From:  mercury   I don't think many of us yankees like the sweet stuff. McDonald's has real brewed unsweetened tea, too. It's not bad.
4/12/2008 7:48:42 PM   From:  Chi   I haven't gotten into the sweet tea either. My bf gets some of the Arizona kind. I don't really drink it unless I am out of mine.
4/12/2008 8:31:28 PM   From:  timesjoke   I am from the south, we like a little tea with our sugar, I drink more tea in a day then most people drink anything else.
4/12/2008 9:15:01 PM   From:  hugo   That is $90 a month.
4/13/2008 4:13:05 AM   From:  Kethria   I buy the instant lipton pitcher powder (with splenda) for a dollar at the dollar tree. I probably have 15 boxes (each makes 5 pitchers). I just don't like tea that much. Cold that is. A hot cup of darjeeling is always welcome. Or rooibos. Or even green tea.

4/13/2008 5:58:02 AM   From:  mercury   it's snowing here today, too. hopefully for the last time.

4/13/2008 12:26:28 PM   From:  PapaBryant   McDONALDS? ICED TEA? Oh HELL NO! Forget Lee's surrender at Appomattox; if a bunch of inbred Yankee fastfood CEO'S think I'm sitting still while they bastardized the Southern National beverage they have another thing commin'!!!!!!!!!
4/13/2008 1:03:29 PM   From:  MrsK   LMAO!^ Not really Hugs, I only work 4 days a week, and those are the days I get my tea. Thes rest of the days of the week others buy it for me because I'm special. :D
4/14/2008 8:12:25 AM   From:  RaE   I've been drinking mcd's 99cent tea for as long as it's been out... Being from the South, I grew up drinking sweet tea, and as it stands, their's is pretty good. That bottled crap that gets sold is a bastardized version of tea... And unsweetened tea is teh sux... unless you put some sweet & low or splenda or something in it...
4/14/2008 8:12:44 AM   From:  RaE   in fact... i'm drinking some right now...
4/14/2008 8:52:00 AM   From:  MrsK   ^^^ *drools*
4/14/2008 8:54:23 AM   From:  RaE   :D The bastards were out of the styro-foam cups... so i got a regular large plastic cup... but it was still only a buck. ;)
4/14/2008 9:56:28 AM   From:  eddo   some people need to quit calling hugo "hugs" before it ruins his reputation. :P
4/14/2008 10:08:43 AM   From:  BCAR   Such as it is.
4/14/2008 12:24:50 PM   From:  MrsK   I can't help myself Eddo, it is a new leaf for me. Every time I would like nothing more than to choke the little shit I pretend I want to hug him instead. It is working wonders for me. I haven't thought of sending him a flaming bag of shit in a long time. now, I am just amused by his cute sarcasm. Really, I mean that. I truly think his sarcasm has hit an all time cuteness. Either that or I am crossing over, and must make a hole in the nearest river. :D RAE, I was very dissapointed when my MickeyD's ran out of strofoam cups a couple of weeks ago, until I realized I get more tea in the plastic cups.
4/14/2008 12:37:36 PM   From:  MrsK   I haven't had my fix yet today... Be back in a bit!
4/14/2008 1:30:22 PM   From:  emkay64   Why not just make your own? Brew black tea and add sugar...not too hard. Besides it tastes like old tea anyways.
4/14/2008 1:31:19 PM   From:  RaE   I do brew my own tea... at home... but when I'm on the way to work, a quick buck at mcd's for a drink in a cup i can throw away is... well... convenient...
4/14/2008 1:35:56 PM   From:  MrsK   O too, keep a pitcher of tea in the fridge at all times. :) Cuz I stopped drnking soda. But like RAE says, it is convenient. And I am only home 8 hours a day. :(
4/14/2008 1:40:36 PM   From:  BCAR   I don't like tea. Water or beer or the occasional IBC root beer or of course Crown Royal.
4/17/2008 10:08:07 PM   From:  LiquidSnake   I just noticed the title of the post and it's misspelling... McDonbalds.... lol.
4/18/2008 4:52:20 PM   From:  MrsK   hehehe - fixed.
